Silver Star Lift Report-January 2025

As January rolls in, we are eagerly anticipating the opening of the Silver Star Lift. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t cooperate quite as we’d hoped in early December, delaying the start of the season for this beloved lift. However, there is good news to share: a strong winter storm swept through during Christmas week, significantly improving the snowpack across the mountain.

Adding to the excitement, Park City Mountain began snowmaking operations on the King Con run on December 23rd to supplement the natural snowfall. This extra boost has created ideal conditions for opening key lifts and runs. While we are still waiting for an official update on Silver Star, rumor has it that the King Con Express Lift is set to open on January 4, 2025. If all goes as planned, the Silver Star Lift should follow shortly after that, bringing us all one step closer to full winter operations.

In the meantime, there is still plenty of terrain to enjoy on the mountain, and the quieter January atmosphere makes it an excellent time to explore and savor Park City’s winter magic.  Stay tuned for updates, and as always, think snow!
