After an exciting and snowy winter, Silver Star Ski and Sport officially opened its doors for the summer season on June 28! Their knowledgeable staff will be at your service, ready to assist you with all your outdoor adventure needs, whether it’s biking, hiking, or exploring the scenic trails around Park City. Now that the days are longer and warmer, it’s time to embrace the great outdoors and discover the excitement that awaits you in Park City.
Silver Star Ski and Sport is thrilled to announce the arrival of their all-new fleet of path ebikes by Bulls Bike, designed to make exploring Park City’s beautiful surroundings easier and more enjoyable than ever. These state-of-the-art ebikes offer a smooth, effortless ride, perfect for cruising along scenic paths and taking in the stunning summer vistas. Silver Star Ski & Sport also has a fleet of GT mountain bikes, including the latest and greatest GT Force Current electric mountain bike! GT’s new pedal-assist electric bikes are designed around the idea that going further and discovering new places is what bikes are made to do. However, if you prefer a more traditional mountain bike experience then they have you covered too. Stop by or call the shop for more information or reservations.

Mark Your Calendars! Before the official opening, Silver Star Ski & Sport has an exciting event planned for Wednesday, June 26. Join them for the first Cruiser Ride of the season, a fantastic opportunity to dust off your bikes, stretch your legs, and enjoy the beauty of Park City on two wheels. The Cruiser Ride will commence in front of the ski shop and they invite cruiser ride participants to join them for a lively barbecue and live music afterward. If you would like to rent a bicycle for the event, please call the shop ahead of time and make a reservation. It promises to be an evening filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit.

Silver Star Trails Report-June 2024
As of late May 2024, the lower portions of the Armstrong, Spiro & Dawn’s Trails are in excellent condition. The recent dry spell has made the paths firm and easy to navigate, with minimal mud and debris. Early spring wildflowers are beginning to bloom, adding a splash of color to your journey. However, the higher elevations of the trails still hold quite a bit of snow in shaded areas. As temperatures continue to rise, the snow will melt and the trails will dry out further, providing optimal conditions for all users.
Silver Star Park City’s Armstrong, Dawn’s, and Spiro trails offer a delightful mix of natural beauty, physical challenge, and outdoor fun. Whether you’re hiking or biking, these trails provide the perfect escape into nature, with the added comfort of knowing they are well-maintained and currently in excellent condition. So, lace up your hiking boots or grab your bike helmet and hit the trails – adventure awaits!
Silver Star Lift-Closed For The Season!
As we bid farewell to another remarkable winter season, we reflect on the unforgettable memories made atop the Silver Star ski lift in Park City, Utah. After months of pristine powder, exhilarating runs, and heartwarming moments, Park City Mountain officially closed the Silver Star lift’s operations on April 7th. As the season drew to a close, Park City Mountain, our home base for thrilling ski and snowboard experiences, also shuttered its gates on April 22nd.
While the lift may be closed for now, the memories you’ve created will last a lifetime. From carving through fresh powder to enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, each moment atop the Silver Star ski lift was truly special. As we look ahead to the warmer months, we’re already counting down the days until we can get back to the slopes once again. Until then, we encourage you to cherish the memories of this past season and stay tuned for updates on future adventures at Silver Star.
Silver Star Ski & Sport-Mud Season Update
After a thrilling and bustling winter season filled with snow-covered slopes and endless adventures, the team at Silver Star Ski & Sport is ready to take a well-deserved breather as May arrives. Led by their dedicated manager, Todd, their staff will be stepping back from the ski shop for most of this month to recharge and prepare for the exciting summer ahead.
While their doors may not be open for regular business hours during May, fear not! They are still there to assist you with all your ski and snowboard needs as you bid farewell to the winter season. If your gear requires some TLC before being stowed away for the summer, they are available for waxing and tunes to ensure they’re in prime condition for storage.
But that’s not all—the ski shop crew is gearing up for a shift in focus as we transition into summer activities. Dust off your bikes and get ready to hit the trails, because Silver Star Ski & Sport is now offering bike tune-ups to kickstart your summer adventures. From adjusting gears to checking tire pressure, their expert technicians are here to ensure your ride is smooth and safe for the season ahead.
