Silver Star Lift Report-December 2023
Park City Mountain Resort has officially kicked off the 2023/24 ski and snowboard season, opening its slopes on November 17th. While Mother Nature hasn’t been as generous with the snowfall as we’d hope, fret not! There is good news on the horizon as sizable storms are predicted to blanket our mountainous playground this weekend, promising a fresh layer of powder for all to enjoy.
The Park City Mountain Snowmaking Team has also been hard at work making snow over the past few weeks and will continue to make snow to keep opening as many lifts and as much terrain as possible.
As we eagerly anticipate the transformation of our slopes, it’s worth noting that the Silver Star lift typically opens its gates around December 26 each year, conditions permitting.

As Silver Star Ski & Sport proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary, they are thrilled to reopen their doors for the exhilarating ski season ahead. Due to high demand, their ski & snowboard rental equipment tends to sell out quickly during this peak period. To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience on the slopes for yourself and your loved ones, they urge you to reach out to the shop and secure your rental reservations as early as possible.

As October settles in, the trails offer a remarkable opportunity to witness the season’s splendor. These trails are anticipated to remain in excellent condition until the arrival of the first snowfall of the season. However, it’s important to note that after this initial snowfall, the trails might become considerably muddy and potentially inaccessible.
As such, now is the ideal time to seize the opportunity to explore and relish the trails before nature’s transition into winter alters their accessibility and appearance.
